Once your CoolSculpting specialist has marked out the placement of the CoolSculpting applicator, the specialist will cleanse your skin and attach a proprietary gel pad to the treatment area. The gel pad protects your skin from thermal injury.
An applicator is positioned over the treatment area. The CoolSculpting machine is turned on. Using a gentle vacuum mechanism, the underlying tissue is drawn up to rest between 2 cooling plates housed within the CoolSculpting applicator. Does CoolSculpting Hurt?
CoolSculpting is a well tolerated procedure that is non-invasive and requires no downtime. Once the cycle of controlled cooling is completed, the applicator is removed. The tissue within the treatment area can look like a frozen bulge for the first minute. This is normal.
