What does Thermage commonly treat?
Thermage can treat sagging skin on various parts of the body, loose jowls or lack of definition in jaw line, sagging skin under the chin otherwise known as the turkey neck, wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes, mouth or on the forehead, lack of definition on lips, tired looking eyes, excess skin on the upper eyelid or hooding, love handles, unwanted bulges after weight loss or pregnancy, and cellulite.
Is it safe?
Having FDA clearance is a sign that this procedure is perfectly safe. In fact, it’s the first and only non-invasive eyelid treatment that has FDA clearance. It is effective for treating wrinkles as well as improving the appearance of cellulite. It does all these by tightening and contouring the skin. It doesn’t make use of any surgery or injections.
Would I need a touch-up later on?
It takes up to six months after the treatment for Thermage’s unique thermal restructuring of the collagen to complete. The age, skin laxity and health will be the forefront factors in determining if a touch-up is necessary. Usually, touch-ups are done six to 12 months after the treatment.
Do I need to plan time off?
Little to no downtime after the treatment is another thing to love about this. You can immediately go back to your everyday life right after the procedure. Expect that your skin may be a little pink in some areas but this can easily be covered with makeup.
How long is the procedure?
A thermage treatment session generally lasts for about 45 minutes for the face and up to one and a half hours for other body parts. The duration ultimately depends on the size, location and condition of the area to be treated.
